Stroke Victim Lokomat Robotic Rehabilitation Therapy

Lokomat gait training has been proven to benefit stroke victims in their recoveries. Aggressive rehabilitation is commonplace in many European countries and should be here as well.

This program is intended for individuals suffering from stroke between the ages of 40 and 70 must be physically able to engage in physical exercise. A sign-off from your physician is needed.

One very unique aspect of this program is that the lokomat machine will challenge you at your capacity for locomotion, for example if a person is 30% cable of walking the machine will
challenge the individual at 31%. Once the individual is 31% capable he will challenge at 32% and so on. Evidence in support of this therapy can be found at www.hocoma.ch

Example of a typical session
  - duration-one hour
  - approximately 15 minutes is needed to get a person ready for the machine
  - Maximum duration of robot-assisted walk is 45 minutes

Insurance and Medicaid/Medicare are not accepted.
